Peru

Peru is one of the best places to visit in all of South America. You have a little of everything in one country, from a Dessert Oasis to Rainbow Mountains. Peru has great food such as Ceviche, and Lomo Saltado. I spent 10 days in Peru and still did not see everything they had to offer. I would suggest anyone do 10 days, but 20 is ideal.

If you have time, a great bus tour, Peru Hop. If you are adventurous and want to do it on your own as I did just take random buses as you need. You can follow their itinerary or make your own.

Accommodations in Peru are reasonable. Selina and Viajero hostels are available in Lima and Cusco. You can also find inexpensive single rooms in boutique hotels as well.

My round trip ticket to Peru in February 2022 was only $410 I flew to Peru on United Airlines and came home on American Airlines. In Peru, from Lima to Cusco I booked a round trip flight on Sky Airlines was less that $100. Peru Rail for Macchu Picchu was approximated $80 depends on when you want to travel.

Peru with everything probably cost me $1100.
