Ecuador - Flight to Ecuador $540 with Copa Airline Round Trip. 10 Days in Ecuador, The day I arrived I stayed one night in Quito, the next day I took a 3.5-hour Bus to Banos, and 2 nights in Banos. After Banos, took an 8-hour Bus to Cuenca. I stayed 3 nights in Cuenca, enjoy the Carnival festivals, and wanted to go to Montanitas. The Big Carnival was there, we partied until 5 AM. I was supposed to stay 3 nights there, the Problem is, Montanita is a Party Town - it's live all the time!! I spent my last 2 nights back in Quito. (There are only night buses that leave Montanitas to Quito from 8 PM until 7 am)

The best thing to do is away from Quito - Go to Banos, got to Cuenca, or even the Amazons. They have tours, where you can do all that. I take public transportation, and it is really cheap.

I stayed in various hostels around Ecuador, mostly Selina Hostels - Also the last nights were at Viajero Hostels. They are both great options, they have shared or private rooms.
